The suspect identified as Mohd Faiz, resident of Jafrabad in Delhi, is the 14th accused to have been arrested in the case, they said.

Faiz will be produced before a special NIA court in Delhi tomorrow. According to NIA, role of Faiz as one of the key conspirators in planning to carry out terrorist attacks in Delhi NCR and UP, surfaced during investigations.

Faiz was found to be a main member of the Pro-IS module Harkat-Ul-Harb-E-Islam, who was instrumental in bringing other members besides founding the group. Investigation has revealed that he was closely involved in the procurement of arms and ammunition for the group to carry out terrorist acts in and around National Capital Region, a statement from agency said.

The case pertains to a group of Pro-IS terrorists who formed a terrorist gang which was engaged in acts preparatory to commission of terror attacks with a view to wage war against the Government of India.

The group was found to be inspired by ideology of ISIS and was conspiring and preparing to target places of importance in and around National Capital Territory of Delhi. It was gathered that Mufti Mohd alias Suhai, resident of Jafrabad, Seelampur, Delhi, was the Amir of pro-IS module, who mobilized funds and procured weapons, ammunition and explosive materials to prepare IEDs.

The home ministry has handed over the investigations of the case to NIA in December last year. "Central Government has received credible information that a group of Pro-IS individuals have formed a terrorist gang who is engaged in acts preparatory to the commission of terror attacks with a view to wage war against the Government of India," MHA said. The members of the group had done reconnaissance of their targets that are places of importance in the capital, they added.
